United Synagogue Youth (USY) is an international organization with over 400 chapters all across the United States and Canada and over 10,000 members. The general aim of the USY Program is to bring about a meaningful encounter of Judaism, the Jewish people, and the Synagogue on one side, and the Jewish teenager on the other. USY is divided into 17 regions across the United States and Canada. We, in the northern part of New Jersey, are part of the Hagalil Region, which sponsors Regional Conventions, Leadership Training Institute, Dances, Special Events, and Summer Encampment. Nationally sponsored programs include summer programs (USY on Wheels, USY Israel Pilgrimage, Israel/Poland Pilgrimage, Heroism and Hope(Israel/Italy Pilgrimage) and Eastern European Pilgrimage), the annual International Convention, Nativ, and USY High.
